8th Grade English Literature and Composition

Tuesdays- 10:35- 11:50
We will be reading The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn for the next 7 (approx) weeks.
Each week students will be required to read chapters and complete the homework packet.
We will be discussing the reading the following week and reviewing the homework in class on Tuesdays. Periodic quizzes on reading.
A test will be given at the completion of the novel. Exact date will be given at a later date. In in-class project will also be assigned at a later date.
- December 5- read chapters 19-22 and complete packet- Due 12/12
- December 12- read chapters 23-27 and complete packet- Due 12/19
- December 19 read chapters 28-31 and complete packet- Due 1/9 (please put this assignment in my box in Charter II on 1/9)
- January 9 Project Week
- January 16 Project Week
- January 23- Begin writing project in class/ Read chapters 32-37
Complete packet- Due 1/30
- January 30- Writing assignment/ Read chapters 38-43 complete homework packet- Due 2/6
- February 6- Theme Projects presentation. All groups will present their projects in class.
