Car Wash Fundraiser (March 1-22)

All money raised will be used to buy snacks and pizza for all students during the week of state testing.  This annual State Testing Pizza Party has become a highlight of the school year, balancing the stress of state testing with the joy of pizza!  The fundraiser is easy -- the tickets cost $6 each and are good for one Prime Shine Car Wash.  This is virtually the same price you would pay at the car wash, but when you buy the ticket from us, we get $3.00.  You can buy these tickets yourself, and sell them to family, friends, neighbors and co-workers!  A deposit check will be required when you pick up the tickets, and will be returned, uncashed, when your sales money and/or unsold tickets are returned.  You decide how many tickets you want to take.  The top 3 sellers will receive a $5 Jamba Juice card!

Safari West Field Trip

The deadline to sign up for this field trip is Monday, March 1st.  The cost is $25 for adults, with KTL students paid for by KTL.  At this time it is a drive-yourself trip, although carpooling is recommended.  For more information, call Tabatha (612-9222) or check out www.safariwest.com.

100 Book Challenge going on now!

The 100 Book Challenge begins February 8th!  In this challenge, students try to read 100 books (or chapters) to earn fantastic prizes!  If 100 books is too much, don't worry -- there are prizes at the 25, the 50, and the 75 book levels, too!  Watch for more information to come home with your student.  If your student does not attend the Core Classes and they would like to participate, please call the KTL office to request more information.

Parent /Staff Advisory Committee
The PSAC is a committee made up of parents and KTL staff members. We serve as an advisory board, as well as the parent-teacher organization for K-6 and a support committee for the 7-12 student government.

The Parent/Staff Advisory Committee will meet after the K-6 opening session until 10 am in Charter 3.   During these meetings, we will discuss ongoing activities, the committees will give their reports, and we will sometimes have a guest speaker.  It is our goal to always have some type of refreshment, and if you would like to be on that committee, just let us know!  We look forward to spending this time with you.
