Core Classes

K-6 Wednesday Classes
Students in grades K-6 have the option of attending a class one day a week for enrichment. The classes for 1st-6th grade start at 8:45 and end at 3:00.   Students are encouraged to participate in these classes as it allows them to be with other students and do group activities. The students in the Core Classes compete in academic games, put on theater productions, learn instruments, have organized physical education and are able to do classroom art and science projects.
KTL has an outstanding writing program in our Core Classes. The students will learn to write poetry, biographies, book summaries, persuasive essays and much more.
Parents are provided with excellent lesson plans and all materials needed to teach their student at home. You can come into the office at anytime to preview the lesson plans and activity pages.

School in the Valley

School in the Valley
(A KTL WASC Accredited Public Charter School)

School in the Valley serves students in grades 6th through 8th. This is an on-site Charter School. Students attend school five days a week. Students will be taught all the core subjects with an emphasis on science and agriculture. Students spend three days out of the week at a farm in Turlock. Core subjects are taught daily and on the "farm" days the students tend a garden and learn about agriculture. Students may be doing things like composting, weeding, tilling, watering and harvesting vegetables and herbs.

KTL does not provide transportation. It is the parents responsibility to have the student to class daily and on time.

By law, School in the Valley applicants are accepted by a public random drawing.

You may call the office to begin the application process.
